Arts Amplified Storybook Public Art Project
Media: We are requesting artist submissions for a resin park bench project. Preferred images will represent a book of the artists choice on the bench. The bench will be hand painted using exterior paint provided by the artist. Sealing and installation of the bench will be coordinated by the Pace Foundation. Permanent installation of this bench will be at the
The Wildlife & Discovery Center at Valley Park.
Work Size: Bench measures 48” in width, 38” tall and 38” deep.

Timeline: Bench to be completed by October 1, 2026
Entries Due: Submissions open until June 1, 2026
Selection Process: The Pace Foundation Board, Wildlife & Discovery Center, and Valley Park staff will select the chosen work for this project. Works not selected may be used for future phases of this project.
Notification to Artist: Artist will be notified of acceptance by June 15, 2026.
Accepted Artwork: The artist will be paid a stipend of $2,000 for their design and painting of the park bench.
Pickup & Delivery: Park Bench delivery or pick up will be arranged at the time of acceptance and must be returned to The PACE Foundation by October 1, 2026.
Publicity: Artist must agree to The PACE Foundations use of name and images relating to this project.

- Cover letter describing the proposed image and referenced book.
- Submit a minimum of 3 images, one of the rear, side, and seat of the bench as you would paint it. Images should be presented in JPEG format with a minimum image size set to 300 dpi.
- Brief Artist Resume including biography, educational background, and any other large scale art experience.
